I was curious to see what brand products everyone uses for waxing/polishing your Stang?

I found out about the Zaino line of products, and although expensive and you can only purchase online, it's well worth the cost & trouble. Gives a beautiful mirror-like finish & fairly easy to use.

I mostly use Meguiar's products and have been very happy with them. I also use 3M clear-coat gloss enhancer on show days, etc.

I use the regular turtle-wax stuff on my daily driver cars, so the Meguiar's stuff never really sees any serious action (excessive sunlight, salt, weather, etc). I know the cheaper stuff like the Turtle Wax is much more abrasive, but you really need the abrasiveness for a daily driver to get all the 'junk' off the finish.

There are a few guys in the group that seriously show their cars - much more serious about it than I am. I'm sure that some of these guys can give a much more thorough opinion as soon as they discover that the forums are up!

Some people are like Slinkys. They have no purpose, but they sure bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

With the Zaino products, there are several different approaches to using. Some of these people are hard core, spending 3-4 days to complete the wash/wax/polish procedure. I take a less thorough aproach that takes 4-6 hours and provides what I consider good results. I use the ZFX activator with the swirl remover polish (Z?) and then use the show car polish (Z?) to apply 2-3 layers.

I just got some more Zaino products this past X-Mas that I'm going to try out this spring when it gets warmer. One of the products, the clay bar, I've never used before and very interested to see how it works. I'll let you know how it works after I use it.

I have a clay bar and it works great for getting all the bugs and tar and anything else my wife Connie runs into with her Trailblazer. After I wash the car I use the hose and keep putting water on it as I rub the bar over the area and it comes out really smooth. It is amazing.

i use zaino and love it...as soon as that runs out im going to try mcquires.(sp) and then see what i like better

Have gotten a lot of comments on both my wife's XTerra and mi Pony from a product seen on a Mustang forum called Geoff Bodine's Waxing Frenzy. Seemed to pull alot of gunk off the surface, easy to apply and remove, and has held up through the weather and pollen really well. More info below:
