Geico won't touch it for anything thing other than what 'blue book' would be, so don't bother with them.

I signed with and for my car I paid $302 for this year, the whole year with a $0 deductible and $15k for the cars value.

I had to send them a few pictures of the car and gave them an agreeable value of the car that you want to insure it at. This value can go up as you fix/repair/restore/modify your car. I've heard rumors that they won't blink about a value less than $20k, anything above that they are a bit more scrupulous and require more paperwork proving the value is what you say it is.

Typical terms, its a collector so I'm only supposed to drive it to and from shows, or the occasional cruise, not a daily driver. I don't think they cover any damage done to a vehicle as a result of going down a drag strip, duno where I saw or remember that from so don't quote me on it.

I went with Hagerty for our '68 also. Same deal a couple hundred bucks a year and $20,000 in value. It might help to have it appraised if you don't know how much to insure it for.

Some people are like Slinkys. They have no purpose, but they sure bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

I'm also w/ Hagerty, $17k agreed value for less than $200/year, $100 deductible. The roadside towing was great! Ruby left me sit once, due to an ignition module fault. It took a few hours to get a rig on a Sat afternoon, but Hagerty wouldn't settle for less than a rollback. The driver who showed was very considerate, even wrapping the axle and control arms with towels before tieing it down.
