Hey all
Thought I had posted my message some time ago, I guess not. Happy to finally engage some fellow Pony lovers. My 68' Coupe started off as a "small" project car that supposedly runs and drives. Turns out that it ran but was far from a driver.
So here I am a year later and the "small" project is now known as "the mistress" by my wife and kids. I am putting the finishing touches on the sheet metal work and now must find a reputable body & paint shop that actually understands these cars and can make shine once again. Feel free to recommend/not recommend paint & body shops. I will drive to wherever for the right shop.
She is a driver, not a show car so I hope to have her running and driving for the Spring club events.
Stats on the car: 68 Coupe highly bastardized by previous owner. Originally a 6 cyc car but now has a 1974 302 with a mild cam and 650 Eldebrock. What I have done so far, complete Dyncorn reskin except hood and roof. Put in Power steering and AC. Was White but looking to paint her an Auburn Red or Burnt orange. Put a racing front Shelby style valance and GT rear valance. Interior was light blue but will be black when done.
Glad to be part of the club and looking forward to coming to the events in the "Mistress"
