I brought the Red Baron to Bob's Garage this morning to have two new tie rods installed. The car did pass State Inspection but it is obvious that there is a lot of subjectivity that goes into those inspections by certain State Inspection stations. I learned from a recent safety inspection at Hometown Auto Repair in Finksburg, MD that one of the tie rods needed to be replaced but it didn't make sense to replace just one. I called Bob and he scheduled me in for the Friday after Thanksgiving where he installed two new Moog Tie Rods. Now both of the wheels are nice and tight again. Next week I'll have a front end alignment at Hometown Auto Repair to finish the project.
Our friend James was there helping out Bob as he worked on several cars and SUVs. We had a lot of laughs and James got to see my car for the first time. Again its nice having GT! These guys were spending my money on every upgrade they could think of but I'm not going to go wild on the Red Baron as I did on Midnight Blue. I'll make some subtle upgrades but I like the car just the way it is now!
Bob still needs to do a modification to my strut towers so that I can use the GT Engine Brace that I purchased from him as soon as I knew I was getting my GT. My next project with Bob will actually be my wife's 2011 Hyundai Sonata which is in need of new disc brake pads.
Once again if you need anything done to your car and done right the first time than you need to see Bob Thompson.
