Carlisle All Ford Nationals?

There were a few of us around from MCOM. Glenn Rolf, Bob Thompson and Tony and Rich and Lauren all stopped by to say hello. Carlisle is a big place and the Ford Nationals bring in cars from everywhere!

I snapped a couple of photos of Steve Saleen and Vaughn Gittin, Jr. which I will be posting as soon as I finish editing all of the photos I took on Saturday.

I was there Fri-Sat and came home today.

We went Saturday and parked in a really good spot right outside gate 1. This was the first time I had been to Ford Nationals and it was awesome. The burnout contest was really cool. Next year I am going to try and make the gate and go deadline but the parking we had was not at all dicey like others had mentioned. The guys in the parking lot gave us a really great spot.

I did not have an opportunity to do very much walking around the Carlisle Fairgrounds but I did manage to get some great pictures of some of the folks parked around me and also some of the special invitational cars featured in the show car buildings. I also managed to get a couple of quick photos of Steve Saleen and Vaughn Gittin, Jr.

Of course I have some nice shots of my car on the Show Field too!

Yep Midnight Blue I went to the same spots you did and we never crossed paths :headscratch:

I sent a lot of time photographing the green 1995 Mustang of Harry Roberts of Jacksonville, FLA and his son Justin's 2012 MCA Edition Charcoal Gray Mustang. I also took a lot of pictures of the 1965 Teal colored Mustang and the 1966 Red Mustang. Both of these cars were owned by Harry's friends. All three of these cars won first place in their respective classes!

Harry's car was parked right behind me and his friends helped me and my brother Alan set up our canopy. It wasn't until later in the day that I got the opportunity to walk around the fairgrounds and take some photos.

Unfortunately my back was acting up so I didn't get to see a lot of the other cars like TBirds and older Fords or any trucks. I pretty much stayed close to the vendors and specialty car buildings.

Next year I'll rent a power scooter so that I can have more access to see more of the show.

I don't know what just happened but somehow my post got reposted onto 6-71's last post! :yikes:

Let's just say that I could have taken more photos of other cars and displays at Carlisle if I had more time and could have walked more. :rolleyes:

Second year in a row I haven't gone one moving back here... Last year no $, this year the weather tore my back up. So I spent the time doing stuff around the house, and Sunday worked on the SVO to prep it for its long awaited trip to Alabama for an extended spa treatment! :banana:

I was with BobT and Tony from MCOM and Marc Marriott, Ceece Coburn and Ian Shue from NVMC. Was my first time there in 27 years and had a blast! Was tired Sunday though
