Thanks Pat! I'll have to give that a try!

Loading 200 or so photos from a cruise is just too time consuming but it does give me a lot of posts!

Thanks again.

We received the back order overhead console yesterday so we installed it today.

With a little trimming the wood grain vinyl fit nicely.

The map lights need a relief hole cut in the headliner

For a repro-part the new console fits great!
Thanks!

We modified an engine cradle from another project to fit Kurt’s motor. This allowed us to not only move the motor but also mount the trans.

This is the closes the motor has been to the car in almost two years.

Unfortunately this was as far as we got as we misplaced the dowel pins that align the pressure plate, will pick up a set tomorrow.
Thanks!

A Bullitt engine for a Bullitt Mustang! It doesn't get better than that! :btu:

When do you think that this project will be completed? Is there a target date?

The photography is very well done too. What kind of camera are you using?

Thanks for the info Pat. I'm sure that you will be a big hit at the Power Tour! :btu:

Since taking up photography in 1980 when I bought my first 35 mm camera, a Mamiya Z, one of the first 35 mm cameras to use on board metering, I eventually moved to Nikon. My wife and I did professional photography for over 35 years from weddings to anniversaries to Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, to work on behalf of various organizations. I still use my studio lights and umbrellas to photograph my train layout which was featured in the January 2011 edition of O Gauge Railroading magazine!

Today I have finally evolved to the digital world with an Olympus point digital and shoot digital camera to a Nikon D40 and now a Nikon D60 digital SLR. All of the photos I have taken over the past four years for the club were taken with my Nikon D40 and my Nikon D60 since this July.

You can see some of my handiwork on the forum as I recently posted the photos taken at our club meeting at Sanomas last Wednesday including our impromtu car show.

We received a Modern Driveline cross member and with a little massaging it fit great.

Here you can see how different the cross member are

The new cross member give us all the room we need for the exhaust. We installed JBA shorty headers and H-pipes both fit great!

Thanks!

We assembled the new gauge cluster and watched football today.

Image

We bought a New Vintage gauge kit and a Scott Drake instrument bezel

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

The New Vintage gauge kit came with copper pipe for the indicator lights but they didn’t lineup, so we removed the original plastic light covers and cut them down to fit and used some black foam on the gauge plate like the original to seal the light out.

Image

Image

Image

Both the Vintage gauge kit and a Scott Drake instrument bezel needed a little massaging to come together. It’s all wired up and ready to install in the car.
Thanks
Pat

We repaired the back window trim and polished it.

After working all the dents out, we sanded the trim starting with 180 grit to 1500. Then we polished the trim starting with a sisal wheel and finished with cotton wheel. And now it looks like chrome.
Thanks!

For a few months we have been trying to find something from the Mustang to send the 2nd owner of the car as a thank you for send us a few pictures of the car back in the day.
As we are not using the original gas cap we removed the back plate, made a copy of one of the pictures he sent us and put it in the cap with a 3/8” Plexiglas cover. I think it will make a cool paperweight. We will send it to him along with the original pictures next week, hope he likes it.

I'm sure that the previous owner would appreciate what you and your son doing to his car too. The old photo in the old gas cap is a nice keepsake for him.

I'm also pretty sure that he would enjoy the photos and the story behind the restoration of his Mustang too. :btu:
