Those of us that have an MCA membership already know about this but to those of you who aren't members I'd recommend you join MCA.

September 2-4 in Waldorf at the Monuments and Mustangs at Regency Furniture Stadium.

Major props to the National Capital Region Mustang Club for making this happen!

The 2011 Monuments and Mustangs Grand National Show in Regency Furniture Stadium dedicated exclusively to all five Mustang generations.

In addition to original, restored, customized and race-ready Mustangs of all years, the show features trophies, cash prizes, dash plaques and a DJ with games and door prizes.

Please note: MCA membership is not required to participate in the Grand National, but being an MCA member will give you a $10.00 discount on registration. :btu:

As we have said before at many meetings and in the newsletter, we do hope to see a large participation from MCOM at this year's Grand National since it is so close. Sadly, we had very little participation from MCOM at last year's VA Beach show but since Waldorf is much closer, we do hope more members will attend.

Also, for those who don't want to enter their cars into a Judged class, Display only (not judged) is also available. This was the class we were in when we attended the 45th Anniversary show and it was an amazing time! We highly recommend attending as it is a wonderful chance to be with other Mustang lovers.

I think having a MCA Window Sticker is worth a point when the car is juduged. Or I could be wrong.

I joined MCA using the show web site and it only cost me $40 for the first year. I guess the $10 show discount is applied to new memberships if you aren't showing your car.

The show dates are nearing for the MCA Grand National in Waldorf. I know I'm going, and I'm looking to get a head count as to who else will be going(participant or spectator). Reply here if you plan on being there at some point please.

I have signed up as a participant. looking forward to the show. Don't know what to expect first MCA show as a participant or spectator. Should be fun though.

I'd like to make a road trip down with perhaps 2 or 3 others to share expenses. I would be willing to be a passenger or drive our Edge. Any interest out there???

Over 400 Mustangs are registered and there's a cruise to MIR for a test n tune Friday night.

The cruise is a bit out of the way for me and since I'm trying to place to earn points towards a grill medalion and I still lack some of the safety equipment to race, I will just be there Sat. and Sun.

Racing your car at MIR is optional. Most of us are just going to watch others race at Midnight Madness. We have 50 cars registered for the cruise. If you would like to be added please email me ASAP amyh511 at yahoo.com

So i went yesterday and WOW - what a lot of Mustangs. Other than me, everyone there has a Shelby, Roush, Steeda, Saleen etc. The best part of the show though was the free coloring book. I have enclosed the cover for all to see.

The show was AWESOME!!!! Just a sea of 'stangs, Chris Caldwell the Pres of the NCRMC said about 500 showed up, some had to drop out because of the hurricane. I was lucky to pre-register and get a spot at the end of a row. I've got tons of pics of the beautiful ponies that were there!!! Definitely glad I went and can't wait for Rhode Island next year!
