2011 St. Patrick's Day Parade

I am sending in the application for the 2011 St. Patty's Day Parade. This application does not guarantee the club a spot, however, I wanted to get the ball rolling so people can think about if they want to ride in it. As soon as I know whether or not we are definites, I will post on here.

The Parade is on Sunday March 13, 2011 and starts at 2:00 p.m. at the Washington Monument, and continues to Pratt Street and Market Place.

Will this be looking for convertibles only or will cars with metal roofs be included?--If so, put me down for the Mach 1 and my daughter can be the convertible--My grand daughter loves to wave to the crowd

After our participation last year and the feedback we received from the dignitaries I would think that inviting us back as a car club would be a no-brainer!

Having the event held on my birthday though is "priceless" so I guess I'm in again. :btu:

I'll check to see if they are looking for convertibles only or will take us all (as they did last year) and let everyone know when I find out.

I have been informed that the Mustang Club of MD has been accepted into this year's St. Patrick's Day Parade and they are taking both convertibles and hard tops.

Since last year worked out well, we can meet at the same place between the Merritt Athletic Club and the building north of the MAC. Please be there no later than 11:45 am. Lineup begins no earlier than 12:00 pm and no later than 1:00 pm. We will leave our meeting spot at 12 pm.

The best way to find the lot we will be meeting in is to following the below directions:

Take 83 South to exit 4, which is St. Paul Street
Turn Left on East Biddle Street
Turn Right on Guilford Ave
After crossing E. Madison Street, you will see a red building on your right. The parking lot is at the end of this building at the intersection of Guilford and E. Monument Street.

From there (the whole club) will take E. Monument west and make a left onto St. Paul Street and then a right on E. Hamilton Street. From there we will make a right onto N. Charles Street and this should take us to the area we need to be (Mt. Vernon Place- Washington Monument).
*Please note this is pending street closures. However, we should all be together at this point.

For those interested, the route starts on Charles St. at the Washington Monument and proceeds south to Pratt St., east to Market Place.

I am still planning to be there. Last year I carried Ms. Noory (sp?) and her granddaughters and they seemed to have a blast. I think she was a MD Delegate from Baltimore city.

Look forward to the parade again.

I just talked to the parade coordinator and she is going to need all the verts to drive someone in the parade (if that is ok with everyone). And may possibly also need a coupe or two as well. The remaining cars will ride in the line up as they planned in the beginning.

She was thrilled to have us again and is so happy that we are here to help!

Jamie i'm going to have to pull out of the St. Pattys day Parade sunday. don't think my clutch will make it. wouldn't want to breakdown in middle of parade. very sorry. haven't missed this parade in a couple of years. Thanks Dan
