Hamilton Street Festival 2009

As you may have seen on the 'Club Events' page, we have secured the date for the Hamilton Street Festival - July 25, 2009. I wanted to start a discussion string here on the forum since I have not been able to make it to the past few meetings and there is plenty of prep work to be done.

I will run this as much as I can, but my time has become somewhat limited recently. I would ask that if anyone can volunteer to help with this, the club would greatly appreciate it!

-Can anyone make a flyer for this event? I will be able to run tons of flyer copies, but I need an original made. The information in the 'Club Events' section should be enough to get started with.

-I have a full set of trophies that are un-used from last year's Bob Davidson Show, and we may be able to get them re-printed for re-use at a low cost. I will check on this with the local trophy shop.

I can help out some and Mrs. Thompson (Bob's Mom) stated that she would be more than happy to help out with the planning of this event. I can work on the flyers this week for you.

The Hamilton Street Festival itself runs the whole day and into the evening, but the car show is from noon - 6pm. Details are on the flyer that is posted in 'Club Events' and I have been circulating hard-copies around at the Marley Station and Lowes Friday/Saturday cruise-ins.

The event is noon to 6, so I want to be there by 11am myself. Anytime before noon would be great! Thanks!

Rick,

I have not been to this event before so explain how this works. Do they shut down Harford Road to accommodate the festival? Is there a specific area where we meet and park for the car show?

I read the flyer but none of these concerns were covered.

Yep - Maybe I listed that on the 'club events' page - but Harford Road is closed down for this event between White Avenue and Echodale. The festival and car show take place in the road - and the car show will be at the northernmost end. I will be there by about 11am and the official start of the show will be at noon. multiple stages, I've heard rumour of up to 12 different bands playing all day, a beer garden, vendors, etc...
