 Post subject: Storing rims/tires for the winter

Can anyone tell me what the best way is to store rims/tires for the winter? Also covering your car for the winter since it will be outside for its first winter, its 18 years old.

Clean the wheels, clean the tires, cut pieces of cardboard (or other item) and place wheels on top of each other separated by cardboard pieces.

I have stored multiple rims (chrome/aluminum/steel) this way for years.
