I have a 306 with trickflow heads, a cobra intake, 70mm TB and a cam with somewhere around a e303 specs. I am purchasing 24 lb. injectors and a matching MAF at least 73mm in size. I know I'm going to need a adjustable fuel regulator. I don't have the money to take it to dyno tune it as of now. Does anyone have a similar setup?? I am basically wondering what a good fuel pressure would be for this setup. I think stock setting is 32 psi. Will that be good for this setup? Or is a AFR definitely in order. Also, is 10 degrees timing good? I don't want to over fuel it, but the stock injectors and MAF have GOT to be hurting the performance of this car. Any input will help. I'm assuming I will have to get a fuel pressure gauge to see exactly what the pressure is, where does this connect? On the front of the fuel rail at the valve? Does anyone know how to install one of the AFR's and do you check the fuel pressure at idle?? Thanks so much - anthony

A fuel pressure regulator is a must for any performance motor. The chance of running too lean is dangerous. I would start with 12 degrees of timing with 93 octane and then go up from there until the engine starts to ping. I have a small fuel gauge on the schrader valve right behind the alternator. Summit sells the gauge and the valve you need. You always adjust the fuel pressure with vacuum line to the regulator disconnected. Hope this helps!
