I haven't heard back from the machine shop just yet, don't expect to till possibly the end of this week or some time next week. In previous conversations with the owner, he mentioned something about him purchasing Eagle parts/kits for the motors he builds.
So I did a little poking around and they are a budget minded company (aka - not the best stuff) that manufactures and machines their parts in China. I've also heard comparisons to SCAT in terms of quality, with a slight edge going to SCAT in the overall finish due to their final machining is done here in the US.
Guess part of the decision between doing it myself and letting the shop do it all is comparing the parts that are going to be used.
Is Eagle or SCAT quality good enough without having to spend mega money on this project? I've looked around and can find a stroker kit by both for just around the $1,000 mark.
