Well I'd be willing to share contact info and meet up with anyone who wants to hang out. It's usually a fun time with tons of things to look at. It would be good to meet some of you guys. If we want to go further and park together that wouldn't be too bad either, but we will have to coordinate either way

When I signed up it cost $55, that includes the admission of 2 people for the weekend plus premium parking . I figured the price is worth it and I should still be able to still find my car at the end of the day. I think you get a goody bag too.

It would be nice to park as a group but I'm a total newb when it come to car shows, my brother in-law talked me in to parking on the show lot, but he shows his 68 Camaro all the time and won at Carlisle twice.

Also what defines a mod? 3 or less was part of the app., what I consider upgrades are stereo, louvers and brakes, are they the same as a mod or is it more like adding induction, ect..?

My wife and I planning to attend on Saturday and I guess I was wondering if anyone is meeting up prior to getting on the road? I'm down south and so my leaving time would require more time to catch you all.

Anyways first time attendee and might by some parts. Looking forward to checking out all those blue ovals stangs.

I think because I'm so late to the game I won't be getting anything in the mail, I'm not sure if I just show my email at the gate or what needs to happen before they let me through the gate. I'll have to read the website again.

I'm all for parking as a group, I'm not going to win anything anyway and didn't plan on waiting around to find out. But I'm ready to do some shopping though, I'll be like a kid in a candy store. As for a meet up point I'll be heading out i83 to the turnpike because I live here in Shrewsbury, just above the Md line. I don't know my way around Carilse, but I'm sure there are plenty of shopping centers on the way to the fairgrounds.

This will be my first trip to Carlisle. Hoping to find vendor that sells cup holders that will enable my wife to put her d**n water bottle, iced tea, etc. someplace other than in the center console cupholder. I'm developing tennis elbow from positioming my shifting arm around that d**n bottle/cup. Initially I suggested an alternitve place to stick the bottle/cup, butt, she wasn't too fond of the idea and stated that I was a real p***k.

I would think that places like Pep Boys, Auto Zone, Advance Auto, and even Walmart or Target would sell a variety of cup holders that you could use. Years ago they used to sell a plastic cup holder that fit onto the channel by the window of the door to hold a cup before cup holders were an integral part of the center console. :confused2:

I am really looking forward to this! The last time I went to this was 27 years ago :yikes: and though I was a teenager I can barely remember it.

like Bob said to me this morning, "you might as well consider this your first time going, its been so long ago"

Just checked the weather forecast for Carlisle over the upcoming weekend and it looks like Friday will be a wet day with thunderstorms and 79 degrees. Saturday looks a little better with a chance of thunderstorms and again 79 degrees. Sunday looks like the best day of the weekend with sun and 81 degrees.

It seems like it rains at least one day for the Ford Nationals every year. But it is still a great place to go and enjoy the cars!

I am looking forward to getting away for the weekend and doing something totally different weather or no weather.

I was originally going to go Friday and Saturday but with the weather forecast I will probably just go on Saturday and possibly Sunday. My daughter is moving this weekend and I am helping her take down pictures and posters and repair the walls of her apartment so if Friday is a rain out I can go there and lend her a hand.

The Carlisle event does end earlier on Sunday. I believe that the official show closes at 3pm but many of the vendors are starting to pack up around noon or so.

I went last year and Sunday had very few cars on the field as well. Saturday is crowded, but has more going on and more cars to see than Sunday.

Spent the day at Carlisle yesterday. WOW !! I had heard there would be a lot of cars but I never expected to find so many Mustangs, Pintos, Fairlanes, etc. Really enjoyed the day. Seemed like I was the only one sporting a MCOM t-shirt.
