We got the valve covers back from a friend with ‘Bullitt’ etched into them with the same font as the movie.

We also received the new wheels for the car today

I’ll post a few pic with the back wheels on soon.
Thanks!

Busy weekend, Saturday Kurt tested for his Red Senior belt. Next test is in 6 months for Black.

Image

Today we masked the body so we can paint the interior next week, and after a few test spray we painted the inside of the front fenders low-gloss black.

Tonight we painted the bottom of the trunk, hood and front & back valance. Except for a small problem with the bottom of the trunk, all looks great!

After a little work we came up with just the right mix and technique for the interior color on the doors.

We used black primer and put one coat of single stage Charcoal metallic with a 50% flattener and looks to be a good match.

We also painted the bottom of the trunk and a few small items.

More highland green tomorrow.
Thanks!

We wet-sanded the doors, trunk, and body starting with 1000 and working up to 2500 and a good friend helped polish the paint which is looking awesome!

We have the tail panel taped and ready for painting low-gloss black like the movie car. Just need to prep the tail light trim and gas fill.

Image

Just about finished with polishing the body.

Image

After we get the tail panel painted we will start under-coating the bottom.
Thanks!
Pat
