Update:
I've been quite busy with ole 89. She had been giving me a hard time running right lately. The compression test was all over the map, and I have a bunch of go faster parts laying around. So during the break between x-mas and New Years, I dove into the Mustang full speed ahead!
I pulled the motor. Found many bolts not torqued down. Lots of fubar vacuum lines. Since the trans was recently rebuilt, the bel housing bolts, exhaust and tq converter bolts were a breeze. Thank God for air tools! Late Model Restoration and CJ Pony Parts has been sending me lots of parts. Including a heater core. Mine was leaking, so thats done now.
Currently, the block, crank and pistons loaded on the pick up truck waiting to go to the machine shop. I already had a set of GT40 irons here and got them back from the shop already. Good news is, someone already put in a FMS E303 cam shaft in. Bad news is, it is also fubar! A couple of lobes have flat spots from when a lifter did a 180. So a new cam is in the future.
Sorry I don't have pics. Our digital camera is also fubar. The cell phone pics I took didnt come out well.
Lookin forward to seeing what she'll do when complete...
