We would like to participate but only if the new garage is completed. My ride is parked in the old garage and cannot be driven out until at least the new garage pad is poured and the driveway leveled out. Waiting on the permits now.

So far it looks like there are 4-6 volunteers for this parade. Hopefully we can get a few more as we approach the date. I did this parade last year and it was a lot of fun! I am still unsure if I can do it this year because of time constraints but below are the meeting places that we used last year that seemed to work pretty well with everyone.

We met at the Carney Park and Ride to leave there at exactly 7 AM for anyone up North that was going. This is located on Harford Road right passed the Joppa Road intersection. Take 695 toward Carney and it will be about a mile off the beltway on the left.

From there we went to the Laurel Park and Ride and leave there at 7:45 AM. The Laurel Park and Ride lot is located on the northbound side of Rte. 197 (Laurel-Bowie Rd.) - approximately 1/8 mile north of the intersection of Rte. 197 and Contee Road.

From there we went on to Silver Spring where the Parade was held.

The directions provided by the Parade Committe are as follows:
From 495: Take 495 to Colesville Road South (Exit 30B). After Approximately 1.5 miles, turn left onto Cedar Ave. Then the Town Center garage can be accessed by turning right onto Roeder Rd or Ellsworth Drive. Section E Line Up is on the 5th floor of the garage.

Our Club is to be at the Parade meeting point by 8:45 AM. We are section E, Line up Order # 79.

Is the Laurel Park and Ride off of the Baltimore Washington Parkway? Is that the way you will be coming down from Baltimore?

its the P/R north bound side of 197, Laurie/Bowie Rd. 1/8 mile N.of 197 Contee Rd. i got info off last years info. i guess that answers Glenn question.

I think I found the park and ride on mapsonus.com, but my question was will you all be coming down the Baltimore/Washington Parkway and getting off at the Rt 197 exit? I will meet you at that park and ride off the BW Parkway and Rt 197.

To clarify the directions, the best way to get to the Laurel PnR from Carney is to take 95 S to 295 S, catch 197 N and the PnR will be on the right just after you cross Contee Road.
