Hi everyone, I just installed the mac ceramic pro shorties on my 2012 v6 automatic Mustang. I have the ford racing axle backs and an airraid Cai. After driving it I noticed an extreme rasp when accelerating. Is this normal? It sounds like an old Honda Accord struggling to accelerate. Should I be worried? When doing my research I didn't come across any reviews that indicated a rasp after installed. Thanks |

They will probably sound that way until they get broken in, but also possible they will not change until another set-up is chosen. Others not mentioning rasp, can be because of 2 reasons, everyone's hearing isn't the same, or they have a different exhaust setup than you do. Certain exhausts (mufflers) sound different with long tubes/shorty headers, also the mid-pipe (x or h) play a roll in sound. Exhaust is also subjective, just because someone else raves about it, doesn't mean that you will. |
