Well we finally had a warm weather day to socialize and show our cars before our May Meeting!
We once again had a nice turnout including several new members and folks making their first ever MCOM Meeting. Kudos to Dave for arranging this restaurant to host our meeting. We had a private room and the food was very good!
I took quite a few photos before, during and after the meeting where I was able to get a couple of photos of Linda Queen's Mustang logo projection lights which display a running horse onto the street. What a great effect! Check with Bob Thompson if your interested in getting these lights for your car.
Bob made a special announcement letting everyone know that our former Treasurer, Jaime Mielczasz, is fighting breast cancer. We sent Jaime a special Edible Arrangement Get Well Soon basket and bought a card for everyone at the meeting to sign. We all wish Jaime a speedy and complete recovery and will keep her in our thoughts and prayers. We all miss you Jaime!
Heather Thompson had a lot of information to share about upcoming cruises and Car Shows now that the warm weather is coming. We have two cruises lined up for this coming weekend. The first cruise is with the Northern Virginia Mustang Club called the Crab Cake Cruise! The cruise winds up a popular seafood restaurant where everyone can enjoy a great seafood dinner. The second cruise is on Sunday, the Cheeburger Cheeburger Cruise. This cruise starts in Mt. Airy, MD and winds up in Ellicott City at the Cheeburger Cheeburger restaurant.
Our first Car Show of the season is the Century Ford Car Show in Mt. Airy, MD on June 22nd from 10 am to 2 pm. This show is open to all Ford, Lincoln and Mercury cars and trucks. Of course we expect most of the cars to be Mustangs! There is also an opportunity for you to have your car showcased in the Century Ford Showroom. If you'd like to have your car featured in the showroom send Bob Thompson a photo and tell us why your car should be showcased in the showroom. Who knows you might just be chosen!
If you haven't done so, please check out this months issue of the Stampede, our newsletter, to read about the 49th Anniversary of the Ford Mustang. Throughout this year Ford is celebrating the Mustang leading up to it's 50th Anniversary next April 17th.
Most everyone showed up early for this meeting so we had a lot of time to socialize before the meeting. Rick Hinkle brought a Cobra which is for sale if your interested. Several folks came in their convertibles with the tops down and all of the cars looked great as usual!
I hope that you enjoy seeing the photos and thanks again for supporting the club!
