Just an update....I find it important for providing info when there is a solution.
So leaky intake gasket was the culprit. Bob was right on.
One thing I learned, well actually a few related to the lower gasket install.
1) The rubber ends are better than RTV, why, let me explain. When you put the intake gasket in place and use RTV there is nothing that prevents the gasket from sliding down, as it will just slide right into and through the RTV. The rubber provide a stop.
2) Felpro 1250 = FAIL. They appear to be nice gaskets, but there is no metal in them, why is that bad ? The tab on the bottom of them that sits on the head gasket has no metal, and therefore can flex allowing the gasket to slide down.
Keep in mind that when I do these procedure I use the stud guide method, and even going this route there is enough wiggle room for the gasket to slide.
I purchased the $11.99 Felpro Kit from Autozone. Great kit for the price, and no leaks so far. I will be doing more looking tonight once the coolant system burps.
Thanks Bob for your input on this.
