Has anyone had a bad experience taking their car to a "Mr. Tire" auto service center for routine maintenance? I have been going to the one at Festival at Bel Air Shopping Center on Bel Air South Parkway for years---until now. I think they recently changed managers at the store and it made a big difference. Mr. Brian Strong had been the manager there and I always received excellent service and was very happy going there, in fact, Mr. Strong knew me every time I walked in by name and he loved my mustang! But I recently took my wife's Jeep Liberty in for an oil change and when I got her Jeep back home, I checked it over as I normally do and found that the oil had been OVERFILLED by more than one quart! I immediately took her Jeep back and they drained some oil out to bring it to the correct level of "Full" on the dipstick. I took it back home and when I was looking it over again a few days later, I noticed it still had the old "Chrysler/Jeep" oil filter on it that had been on since the previous oil change that was done at Thompson Jeep on Rt. 40 in Edgewood where she bought the vehicle. Mr. Tire had charged me for a new oil filter but left the old one on! I was pissed and wanted to go over there and raise hell but my wife talked me out of it saying it's not worth getting locked up for "disorderly conduct" over a $12.00 oil filter. I'll never go back. They just lost a good customer to save themselves the cost of a filter. |

I used to go there when I had a couple friends working there a tech guy (he did alignments) and a sales guy (tires, oil and so on) after they left I went in for an oil change. I waited for 4 hours. While I waited I watched through the window. The oil change guy spilled oil all over the engine (in my Jetta) and over filled it. If they were the last tire company on the face of the earth, I would put wooden wheels on my cars, and use dish soap for oil. THEY ARE HORRIBLE and TOO HIGH FOR TIRES. I hope I do not offend or hurt anyones feelings if you work or do buisness with them. This was also the store at the Festival at Belair. That is my 2 cents |
