I am looking to remove my standard "stick" antenna and replace it with a satellite style antenna. This will help with putting the car cover on as well as looking a little cleaner. My questions is, does a satellite style antenna work on a non-satellite style radio? The other option is an internal style antenna positioned up inside the dash. Has anyone gone this route? Has anyone found a good way to cover the fender hole short of going to the body shop? |

The satellite antennae are going to be powered. As long as you can provide switched power to it I would imagine it would work. Routing of cables would be a pain in the ass. My thoughts are putting on a cover is going to be a pain in the ass period. How much harder to remove the antenna first. |

Thanks folks for your feed back and suggestions, the car cover is a bit of a pain but it keeps the black spots off of the car while it is parked out side. Not sure where the black spots come from other than spiders. Might be spider poo! :~{ Quite difficult to get off I might add! I've been looking on google as well, but have not found a satisfactory answer. I did find a car audio shop about a mile from work. Plan to stop by at lunch time to see if they can answer my question. |
