Just saw this on StangNet.com " ... The folks at Inside Line decided they would just put Ford’s claims at the 2011 Mustang GT producing 412hp & 390 tq to the test. The dyno video shows a new 5.0 GT strapped in for several pulls on the Dynojet to see just what the true power ratings are after driveline saturation soaks up the promises that would be. The result? Ford’s underrated the pony car yet again. After seven dyno pulls, the testing staff reported the car consistently produced 395hp at 6600 RPM and 365 pound-feet of torque at 4350 RPM. If you take these figures and realize the parasitic effects of the drivetrain (some 11 to 13 percent loss), the latest Ford Mustang GT with the 5-oh is pumping out somewhere between 438 and 446 horses at the crankshaft. We’re no math majors by any means, but we do know that 438 or 446 > 412 (the advertised rating by Ford)..." |

I read that on the Dyno that the 5.0 is putting out 435 to 440 hp. much under what Ford said 412 hp. kool beans. |
