I'm confused. The drivers side header on my 66 has a loose bolt and from the smell of exhaust when I drive, has blown the gasket and is leaking. Now the headers are nasty looking, all corroded and begging to be replaced. I can't tell exactly what kind they are, other than that they are long tube headers.
The leak is a good enough reason to either fix it, or replace them and I may as well get something that performs and has a little show to it as well.
I was looking at the Ford Tri-Y ceramic coated set ... hey, if it worked for Carol Shelby on his cars, it should be just fine for me. But then I got to thinking that the Tri-Y's are 60's technology... hopefully there should be something better that has come out by now?!
So whats a guy to do? Short vs long tubes? What company is respectable and puts out a good product? (Oh and did I mention that I want this car to sound a bit meaner?!)
