I'm just a few days away from finally being able to start playing around with my SVO so I was interested to see if anyone else here has a turbo. I've only driven it a few times before so I'm getting kinda anxious now that it's alsmost finished being painted. Of course my hidden agenda for this thread is to see if anyone out there actually knows how to get my turbo working right. I'm not sure what to expect from it, but it feels kinda very week. So, I figured it's worth a shot to see if anyone knows anything about that. Or this could just be a general discussion thread on why or why not you like turbos. I want my toy back...

I drove a Merkur XR4TI for a little while back in the day... its had the same engine (2.3L Turbo) that is in the SVO and Turbo T-Bird. It was quite the performer, I was pleasently suprised with it. It was however nearly impossible to get parts for it... had two companies to order from here in the USA, or get it overseas from Germany. I can only hope that you have better luck in getting parts.

I'd be interested to see how one drives when its working like it is supposed to.

Well that's what I want to find out too... I'm still having trouble actually getting the boost to work for some reason.

Like you said with finding parts, it's a huge pain to find just the smallest things. Especially body related parts for the SVO because most of everything on that car is just somewhat custom (and expensive). So I can't just yank parts out of my 93.
