I will pitch my thoughts at you... building a tribute car is a great way to get the look of the car you desire while arguably getting better performance. Instead of doing the ford racing products, other manufacturers offer superior components that offer a higher level of performance. Griggs racing, maximum motorsports, steeda... all have systems for improvement to the s197 chassis. Remember to do the modifications as a compliment to each other. Lower the suspension for lower center of gravity, be sure to include adjustable panhard bar and upper strut mounts. Relocating the attachment points for the rear lower control arms will give you more bite out of the corners. Replacing the hyrda mount front control arm bushings with polyurethane will improve turn in control and road feel. The sky is the limit... if you'd like I will make a grocery list for you, just open up the checkbook.
