I need new tires for the 97 cobra. I was planning on going to 285/35/18 and getting a new set of 18" wheels. For 285/35/18 I need a 18x10 wheel right ? 18x9.5 wont work right ? I was thinking of getting chrome 2000 cobra R wheels but I don't see them in 18x10 only 18x 9.5. http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts/pa ... Field=5388 |

Check with the tire manufacturer that you want to go with they should have recommended rim widths for the tires you want to buy. I just went on Tirerack.com and for 285-35-18s the tires I checked recommended 9.5-11 rim width. I have 285s on the back of mine and the rims are 18x10s. |

I got the Sumitomos. They aren't too bad. I don't drive in the wet so I can't attest to their wet traction but the dry is pretty good. |
