yes, its lots of fun... it involves drilling three holes, fishing the motor out through a hole in the door, cutting your hands on sharp sheet metal.... roll the window up first. pull off the door panel, and around the window motor should be three dimples, aligned with the bolts that hold the motor to the regulator. Use a 1/2" hole saw and cut open those three holes. You can then access the bolt heads with a socket (5/16 I think). Remove the bolts and remove the motor thru one of the larger openings in the door shell. You will cut up your hands a bit. insert the new motor, align the gears first, then twist to align the bolts, reinstall the bolts, plug in the motor, and you're done. |

thanks Jim. sounds like fun. lol. i love auto grease and blood . the winow are already uop. no way of putting them down since i need new motors. so my stepson both 2 used motors off ebay to be installed. so now its my job tpo put in the motors since i bought the car. Thanks for your help. btw are you going to the next meeting. i asked my 2 sons if they want to go to the next meeting so they can talk to you about attending CCBC. then they can deside what to do. they stopped going to utech. only had to pay for just what they attended. see you next weekend. btw went i turn the car hard to the right or left there was a chattering noise and today when i changed the oil i saw that the stablizer bar end links were broke off at the top of the bolts. and the stablizer bar was just hanging there. is i guess it was rubbing and making that noise. more fun. i might as well change the bushings in the stablizer as well. |
