Just wanted to get a general scope of opinions. As you all probably know, my capri is for sale. I am having the hardest time getting rid of it. Not really because of price, I don't think, as $6500firm is nothing in my opinion for a very nice modded car. I have put out there in all my adds that I will accept trades. I don't know about you guys, but when I had a stock mustang, I would've jumped on the opportunity to trade it for a 12 second car. Is that appeal gone nowadays?? I am just pretty much in a bind and NEED something I can drive to work everyday. It almost seems like everyone that has mustangs now, use them as daily transportation. Anyways, if anyone knows of ANYONE that would be interested in this car, let me know. $6500 is the LOWEST selling price, and I am interested in ANY trade, as long as its not a total piece of crap. ( Its gotta last me for a while. ) I would just go buy a new car, but the divorce a while ago made sure my credit took a crap. Please, somebody help!!!! |

I'd love to buy it but just don't have the cash for another car right now. I think it looks nice though. I'm surprised no one has bought it yet. It does kinda have an identity crisis going on though with the GT side skirts and Mustang quarter windows. |

Here are my thoughts: I actually thought about selling my '97 GT vert, my daily driver with 83k miles, to pay for an unmolested Fox body in decent condition--my son has two Foxes now and it's all I can do to stay out of them. And yes, it would become my daily driver. With modified cars, they TEND to be driven hard and are in suspect condition when unoriginal engines and trannies are in place. I need something to get in and go, with only small worries. Anyhow, I'm seeing some really nice cars "originals" in the $10k-$15k range. Frankly, the upper range is less appealing as I really want a daily driver (gas prices be damned!!) but if I can find something unmolested for 10K... If I had $6500 to spare and a closer inspection and test drive revealed a nice car, I'd plunk it down in a heartbeat--it looks like a really nice Capri and would be a fun weekend cruiser for shows and get togethers. There aren't all that many that turn up at these events. But I don't see it as a daily driver. John |
