thanks for the reply... yes the car is running and does seems to run and drive pretty good, although ive never driven a 5.0 coupe stang before and my daily driver is a 4 cyl s10 so everythign is fast compared to that thing. lol it is a efi car, that was also converted to mas air i can get and take pictures of what anybody wants to see if it will help me out....theres just electrical connectors unplugged, vac lines plugged, vac ports open (1 is def a vac leak), i just found the o2 sensor connectors yesturday and they are tied up in front of the motor by the crank. couldnt mess with it because it was raining but not sure if its there for a reason or if they will even reach to plug into the o2 sensors. also ran with the 2 o2 sensor connects is a single red wire with some weird looking connector on the end of it, have absolutely no clue what it is. what is the date of the car show and where is the car show being held, i havnt driven the car any real distance yet because im not sure what itll do to me , i have taken it out a little bit in my area and its been ok, but i only have a race lap belt so i need to get regular street seatbelts and the rest of the car is gutted. any help is greatly appreachiated, i would be willin gto pay out a couple bucks for some help. |

Oh I see what you are getting at now, you have what I call an underhood nightmare, in which there are wires all over the place and things all rigged up. Well the odd thing about what you are saying is about the O2 sensors, I didn't think a car would run or run well at all without them. You can send me a PM and let me know where you are located more specifically. I have over 10 year of 5.0 knowledge and have done engine swaps and other work. I've never done a conversion however. But I could help you figure out what you loose ends are and help you with the vacuum problems. I think I aleady have a good idea of whats going on. |

Oh I forgot to say. The Lowes show is every Friday (weather permitting) starting around 6 I believe. However I am busy doing a suspension job on my car so I will not make it this week. However I could meet up with you somewhere over the weekend to help you out. Few things I would do: 1) Take some various engine pictures of the items in question. That will allow me to do some research before hand. 2) It would be good to know what type computer the car is running. It is located on the passengers side, on the right side hidden behind the kick panel. 3) Again with the picture, make sure you take a good amount. Why ? Well if the car is running well, the pictures will help to remind us how things were. When guys do these job sometimes, they reuse stuff and re-wire stuff, and well god knows. |
