My '65 convertible has a 289 2v with the old thermatic choke. When I rebuilt the engine, I replaced the carb and went through all the trouble to hook up the air tubes, etc for the thermatic choke to work. Unfortunately, the old thermatic choke is as un-reliable today as it was in the '60s. Therefore, I was thinking about putting on an electric choke to address the issue. I know they are much more reliable than the thermatic, but I am concerned about a few things and am wondering if anyone has insight.
Specifically, does anyone know of an electric choke setup that has adjustable on-timing? Maybe one that has a temp sensor so I don't choke the car out when it's already warm?
