I finally got my butt in gear and called the parade coordinator for the St. Patty's Day Baltimore Parade. She was very excited to hear from me and filled me in on some preliminary details. Looks like there will be 10+ dignitaries that will be looking for rides for the parade...including Senator O'Malley, the new mayor and a few other local politicians. The parade is scheduled for Sunday 3/11/07. The parade route starts at the Washington Monument and cruises down Charles Street to Pratt Street, and then to President Street.
They would ideally like to have 10-15
convertible Mustangs for the parade. I asked if she prefered classic Stangs and she informed me that any and all years are welcome. I asked about extra vert Stangs and she stated that they could fit them into the parade. I also mentioned all the groans from the hard top'd brethern and she said that it may be possible to squeeze a few in. We'll have to wait untilo closer to the parade date to see if there's any space available.
In the meantime, I'm trying to get a good headcount that I can give them. Please respond and let me know if you're a convertible owner who is interested in participating in the parade. Also, Let me hear any hard top owners that may be interested if there is space in the parade.
