I searched the forums, but couldn't find any discussion about it. Is anyone planning on making the trip up or having a club cruise? It's June 7th-9th. I've been going for a while and it never dissapoints. Apologies if this has already been brought up. http://www.carsatcarlisle.com/events/ford-nationals/ |

I'll be on the show field Friday and Saturday. My brother Alan usually comes along with me and we check out all of the invited show cars and vendors. In addition we check out the cars for sale watch the burn out contests. Midnight Blue MCOM Treasurer-Historian |

Got my Gate and Go pass the other day, will be there Saturday and Sunday morning. Always love the show and for the price of the weekend pass it beats parking in some scary crowded yards. The burnout contest is pretty entertaining. |

The burn out contests are usually held in the late afternoon and it can be pretty entertaining. As good as the Fords do at these contests the burn out contests at the Chrysler & Mopar Shows are off the charts! It is a better bargain to buy the weekend pass that allows you to park on the Show Field as it eliminates finding a parking spot and saves money as two people can get into the shows on the same pass. Since walking is a big concern for me the closer I am to the vendors and activities the better! Midnight Blue MCOM Treasurer-Historian |

Being as there is maybe a handfull of us going would anyone like to make am effort to either cruise up together depending on the day or try to park next to each other on the show field. Both may prove to be a little tricky from past experiences, but I thought I would throw it out there. |

The problem with the club thing at Carlisle is you need X number of committed club members to be there. And to qualify for a club tent you need X number of members there. With the SVO club, one of the directors used to put a call out for a number of how many were committed. If you don't get X number they charge you for the tent. I "might" go up for the day. I'll pay to be in the showfield that way I'll have "close" parking. LOL |

I'm registering my car to show so I get a good parking spot and a trick or treat bag. I noticed the our club was listed, how many car do they need before they park us all together? If someone answered then it my bad because I didn't read all the post, sort of in a hurry right now. |

I received my window sticker along with the instructions from the Carlisle people. The windshield sticker color corresponds to the color of your designated parking area. The Carlisle parking staff will direct you to your designated Showfield parking area. Each of us has a different car and therefore a different designated parking area if we wish to be judged by our fellow Mustang participants. Now if everyone wants to meet as a group we can do so but we will no longer be able to be judged by our peers. We would however be able to bring our club banner and bring a few of the 10x10 portable canopies so that we can all congregate together. We would need to coordinate this before the event so that everyone can find our location. I usually bring along my own 10x10 canopy so as to keep out of the hot sun and have a shady place to sit. As I mentioned in an earlier post I like to find a spot close to the vendor and midway area so as to cut down on a lot of walking. Midnight Blue MCOM Treasurer-Historian |

Never been to Carlisle. Planning to go this time around. If I understand the posts, am I to assume that if I go for one day the parking will be dicey? |

The whole club deal is something that needs to be coordinated with them beforehand. They have the yellow mustang club together. And a couple of the other color groups. Like I said with the SVO club one of the closer directors used to do this a year beforehand IIRC. He has since become too busy with work to be as active with the club and the past 2 years I don't think has done anything... |
