Who: Northern Virginia Mustang Club When: May 4, 2013 Where: Maryland Meet spot TBD based on number of MCOM attendees. Thats right folks we've come up with a date for our Annual Crab Cake Cruise down to Solomon's Island MD. As always we will be leaving from the parking lot at Expo and cruising down as a group to Solomon's Island for some of the best crab cakes known to exist. Diner is Stoney's Kingfisher. Route is being worked on currently and we're hoping to have Maryland Patriots and Mustang Club of Maryland(MCOM) joining up with us as well. We've done this run for three or four of the last 5 years and its always a great time as some of the folks who have been on it will testify. All vehicles welcome and this is a FAMILY event. Thanks for posting this up Bob. Last year we had around 25 cars for this cruise and it has become one of the favorite ones of the year, as the cruise route is scenic and the food is excellent at Stoneys. We hope you can join us. If you plan on attending please post up so that we have a head count idea for the restaurant for reservation purposes, last year we reserved the entire upstairs of the restaurant and the service was excellent. Marc Marriott Vice President of NVMC and I completed the dry run for this cruise today. We hammered out all the gory details of the cruise route (slightly different from last year) but overall a fantastic route with some great scenic roads with curves. And of course we had to go to the restaurant to taste test the food to make sure it was still great, and I'm happy to report it was excellent! We also spoke to the manager to give them a headsup on the date and get us a reservation for the entire upstairs of the restaurant. I've heard that the crab cakes there are better then G&M's. I can't wait to try one! Come on MCOM, let's show those Virginians how we roll! Let's go! We need to roll in with at least a dozen cars! |

We are currently at 40 people attending this cruise. Who else is interested? If you would be so kind to let me know so that we can give the restaurant a heads up a week in advance so they can be ready for us. Last year the service was impeccable, everyone was served at the same time and no waiting, which is impressive when people are ordering different things off the menu.
