I usually head out to the Church of the Holy Donut (COHD) Sunday mornings in Burtonsville MD.
It's an old-fashioned hot rodders gathering in the Burger King parking lot at Rt. 29 and 198 (Burtonsville Crossing Shopping Center). It runs 0730 to 11 AM. Most people are there by 0830.
It's an informal thing, and you will see the entire history of cars there...from Model A's to Rat Rods, to vintage muscle cars, modern muscle cars, and projects in the works...motorcycles too. It's well worth the trip! In good weather, there will easily be 100 cars there. No fee, no BS (other than bench racing), and no trophies. Just lots of cars and people who enjoy the hobby.
If you are interested, I usually bring the 67 and park by the few shade trees there. Stop by! Even if you don't want to show your car, it's worth the trip just to look. It's year-round.
For more info, send me a PM.
