So here's the official information for the event: Host: Dead Freddies @ 64th Street, Ocean City, MD Sponsored by: Mustang Club of Maryland (MCOM) When: Saturday May 21, 2011 Event Time: 10:00AM to 2:00PM Entry Fee: There will be a $15 entry fee for the front show lot. MCOM members get a $5 discount. 64th Street and the other area spaces remain free. Sorry, no pre-registration for the event for this years event. Entertainment: - Goody bags & dash plaques for registered vehicles. - Dick Raymond from the radio station 92.1FM, The Wave, will be broadcasting from the event again this year. - Dead Freddies offers a wide variety of food choices and tons of fun activities for the kids! - 50/50 Raffles will be running during the event. - Upwards of 200+ unique, modified and classic Mustangs will be there and cruising through. - Latest Mustang project from American Muscle showcased at the event. - Door prizes including T-shirts, gift cards & $100 coupon to American Muscle. - After Party at Dead Freddies with happy hour specials & live entertainment possibilities. - And more to come. Awards: Top 5 Awards per each generation category based on participant vote: - 1964-1978 - 1979-1993 - 1994-2004 - 2005+ Best in Show Award based on participant vote President's Choice Award based on MCOM officers choice Founders Choice....I pick my favorite! Quick update....ClearChannel has sold the 92.1FM 'The Wave' radio station. So there's good news for you country fans (boo hiss!)... 99.9FM The Froggy will now be broadcasting from the show from 11AM-1PM. The good part of that is that Froggy is a much more popular radio station down the shore and thefore the show will get that much more radio publicity. Also, Maguiers sent wash/wax samples to add to the goodie bags. |

I'm seeking volunteers to be assigned as task leaders during the event. These task leaders would each handle a single aspect of the event and manage volunteers help. I can then direct volunteers to the task leaders to help. I'm still available to help with anything and everything that comes up, but would be more organized and prepared with these task leaders. Here's a list of the tasks. Please let me know if you would be interested in volunteering for a task leader position. 1. Parking Patrol This task leader directs multiple volunteers to aid in directing and controlling the parking situation. Need to keep paying cars in the main lot, free registrants out to the other areas & all cars from parking in the shopping lot parking. 2. Registration This task leader directs multiple volunteers to handle the registration desk to register the participants for the show. The task leader can setup a rotation schedule of volunteers so that everyone gets an opportunity to walk around and enjoy the event. 3. Merchandise Sales This task leader directs multiple volunteers to handle the merchandise sales desk to sell MCOM items for the show. The task leader can setup a rotation schedule of volunteers so that everyone gets an opportunity to walk around and enjoy the event. 4. Music/Announcements - Father Lou? This task leader manages the music and announcements during the event. We will have Froggy 99.9 broadcasting for most of the show and XM music broadcasting during the other times. I will bring the XM unit & Father Lou is planning to bring the mixer & PA speakers. 5. Award Voting - Jaimie This task leader is in charge of the team collecting and counting all the participant votes. |

Corey, Several people have said they have items for the goodie bags for O.C. Perhaps we should request they bring them to the May 7th picnic and schedule a time for a small group of people to assemble the bags a week or so before we go to the show. Also, are the goodie bags going to all participants, or just the ones who pay? |

I just finished the flyer for both the Show & Cruise. The link to download it has been posted on the first post of this thread and below. Please feel free to download, print and hand-out. Probably best to print double-sided with the show flyer on the front and cruise event flyer on back. |

dont know if they have any rooms still. but the finwick inn has reasonable rates. they are somewhere around 150th street |
