Mustang Club of Maryland

When: July 17, 2010
Where: Cruise starts promptly at 8:30AM from the Carney Park-n-Ride and tours northern Baltimore county countryside.
Who: Open to all Mustangs
What: Includes a fun spirited cruise around the Loch Raven & Prettyboy Reservoir areas. We'll stop in Jacksonville, MD for a quick lunch at the local grill, McDonalds or other area restaurants (your choice). The cruise ends at Hooters in Towson. Your welcome to join me for a a tall cool beverage after the cruise and recap the fun that was had during the cruise.

Ps: I still need to do a dry run to verify the cruise route. Therefore there may be some slight revisions based on that run

The road over Prettyboy Dam is closed right now. I understand that it is to be open by mid June. I'll let you know when the detour signs come down.

Prettyboy Dam is open.

Now we have to keep an eye on Mt Carmel Rd. This summer the state is doing work in front of the Exxon and Graul's supermarket. They're trying to make getting in and out of the parking lot safer especially near the exit off of I83. Instead of re-striping the road and putting in some pylons ($20,000?), they're widening Mt Carmel Rd and shifting the exit ramp 37 feet ($500,000+). Your federal stimulus dollars at work.

If there is anyone south of Baltimore that would like to meet up and cruise together to the Carney park n ride let me know, a couple of us will be going up together, meeting at the Glen Burnie Chick-fil-A at around 7:30am.

Just finished a dry run. Wow! It's gonna be fun! You're really going to enjoy the windy roads around PrettyBoy. All the roads along the cruise are open and doesn't appear to be any construction or detours. The Grill in Jacksonville is open and will be prepared for us next weekend. See you all Saturday morning!

Thanks for all your preparations. I can't wait. I'm buying new batteries for the walkie talkie, making a cruise mp3 disc and getting the car cleaned up. Right now, weather.com shows a high of 91 degrees and a 30% chance of isolated thunderstorms.
