The Hamilton Street Festival will be held on Saturday July 31st from noon - 6pm. Like last year, we will see a more adult-oriented turnout with a beer garden, multiple stages and bands, etc. This is a full-on festival and Harford Road is closed for this event from White Avenue to Echodale Ave. In addition to the bands and beer garden, you'll also see various street vendors selling food, art, etc. The event organizer has been working on getting Bob Davidson to bring a few new cool FORDs, too! The festival lasts into the evening, but our car show is limited to 6pm. Open registration from noon to 3pm, announcement of trophies will be at 5pm (stage time reserved). Unlike many car shows, you should have plenty of activities to keep you busy during this event. I hope you can come out and enjoy the day! Since the question was asked, I would like to use the 'participant vote' method for trophies. There is room for approximately 80 cars and I will secure trophies for the top 20 plus club participation and maybe a single best-of-show. I will be looking for some assistance in preparation for this one. I will be making lots of flyer copies, getting trophies and dash plaques, but I am not a graphic arts guy. Corey made last year's flyer - Corey, are you available to update last year's version, or shall I search for another volunteer? Thanks all!! I will keep you posted as we get closer! Hope to see you in OC! |

What is a good time to arrive at the Hamilton event before they start closing down Harford Rd.? Last year I had to take a lot of detours to even get to where the car show was being held. Do we need to get there by 11 am to avoid the closings? Midnight Blue |

Question about the Hamilton Street Festival show. Is there any problems leaving the show earlier than 6pm. I need to leave about 3:45 to meet friends of mine at the Stewart's show. Thanks... |

Shouldn't be any issue - if you leave before voting is closed, you won't have a chance at a trophy, but otherwise no issue. Just try to make sure you are parked in an area that has easy access to the exit. |
