I just spoke with the owner of Castaways. He said he is selling but doesn't expect to have the sale and turnover of the establishment completed before the show. He even said he would work on some of the front end work such as lining up the radio stations again to broadcast from the event, as well as talk with the City commision about closing 64th Street for the event. He said if it does turn over it is highly unlikely that they wouldn't support the event. He said that the service and food from the next potential ownership group would probably be better setup to cater to our crowd...Read that as better service and lighter/cheaper food options. |
