Greg has decided not to do the event this year as he is busy and a track event has him away. I am willing to run the event on Nov. 1 and continue with my lunch program as in the past if I can find someone to lead the group on Greg's course from last year, I will help get you familiar with the route! I have gone out a driven the course and have put together a series of maps to get people around the route easily and back to the camp grounds, I will post these maps and directions as a PDF later this week. If the interest is there I will be more than happy to make this the 8th annual event. Thanks again for you interest and continued support. The MACA guys look like they are interested in going and would like to have as many as can make it from Mustang Club of Maryland there also. John Capoccia 301-748-6671 jcapoccia@comcast.net |

OK I have no idea where this nov 1 thing came from, the Md Patriots stepped in and took this cruise on more then a month ago, the cruise that this thread is talking about is still on Oct 25th and will be taking the same route as it always has, this is posted up on at least 6 forums and has been for nearly a month now, MCOM, MDPSF, NJ Stangers, Bad Pony Club and others. The cruise is exactly whats posted in the first post in this thread. |

Sorry for the confusion, hopefully I can clear things up. I have worked with Greg Cassidy on this event since the 2nd year, I am the fellow who does the cooking for the event. Greg let me know he would not be doing the event in September and although I told him I would keep the event going it was not for a week or so. Also, until recently I had not posted anything online as this was something Greg always took care of. Greg advised me last week to get online with the clubs mentioned in the flyer which I have and started posting to let people know The 8th annual CMC was on for Nov. 1st. It was Sunday evening when I noticed there was group organized to do the cruise themselves on the 25th. I do not mind if you do it and am happy that you made the effort to keep the cruise alive. If I could help that day I would have thrown my effort to have the event in conjunction with your efforts but I have a commitment to be at the Marine Corps Marathon on the 25th. If there is anything I can do to help you with your cruise on the 25th let me know, if you are planning to meet at the State Farm building let me know and I will call security there and let them know you will be there, let me know what time you'll be there if you do plan on parking in the lot. Again, sorry for the confusion but the event put on by the guys that were managing the previos "Free State SVTOA" club is doing thier annual cruise on Nov. 1st. I hope that helped clear things up and you are, as mentioned earlier more than welcome to come cruise with us on the Nov. 1, Greg may possibly be there, I hope he does come out to play. OK, it is time to fish or cut bait; in other words declare our intent for which date we will attend. I too am sorry for any confusion in the date. Hats off to Ed for picking up the cruise when it looked like it was dead. I am still planing on being there for the Oct 25th cruise with whoever comes along. Nov 1 is just too late to see the beautiful Fall colors in my judgment. However, I love cruises so much that Nov. 1 might end up as a rain date for me. Ia m just sayin. |

OK, this is a map, yes an actual map LOL of the route, Click on the link and My suggestion, zoom in on the pieces of the route and print them out, specially around the Ft Richie part, you should have some ware around 10 pages if you do it rite, I will have corrected written directions with me, but you should bring the map, if your so inclined and such a nice person, you mite printout and bring extras for others. Also as there will be no pick nick on the 25th, you should bring food, or, the Cozy resteraunt is not far, and they have great food |
