| Post subject: | 2nd Annual BMC/MCOM Baltimore Cruise & Cookout 8/30/08 |
When: Saturday August 30, 2008 Time: T.B.D. (I will post once I setup the schedule) Where: The cruise starts from the Carney Park-n-Ride & tours the area around Loch Raven including the dam. The cookout will be at a local park (Hopefully Double Rocks Park like last year. If not, probably at my house). I will post maps & directions. Who: BMC members are welcome to participate. MCOM members are also invited to join. What: Includes a fun spirited drive around the Loch Raven area followed by a cookout in the park. I'll supply the hot dogs, burgers & sodas. I'd ask that everyone attending bring a side or dessert to share. I think that about covers it. I'll be sure to post up a link to the video from last year's event as a preview. More details to come... just sent in the application for the pavillion in the park. After calling yesterday, the park & rec told me that both pavillions were still available, so it looks like we'll have a place for the cookout set. It will be a different park from last year, but I checked it out and it looks good. The pavillion is setup for up to 50 people, has a grille there, playground (kids are welcome) & restrooms close by. I should have the cruise map posted by this weekend. Please post up & let me know what you'd like to bring to the cookout. I will provide the burgers, dogs, buns, condiments, plates and plastic silverware. I'm hoping that others will bring sides & desserts. I'll keep a running list once the posts start coming in. |

How about I bring some "Watergate salad". It's called green slime around here but everyone loves to gobble it up. We are up for another suggestion or need if needed. Lookin forward to gallopin with the herd as always. |
