NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series In the Top Fuel final at Indy, (RFC) Antron Brown clocked 3.813 seconds, 321.73 mph to beat Del Worsham, 3.830, 320.43 mph. In Funny Car, (RFC) Mike Neff's Ford Mustang went 4.068, 314.61 mph to defeat Bob Tasca III's 4.147, 278.00 mph in a Mustang. Jack Beckman qualified fifth in the Valvoline/Aaron's Dodge Charger and lost in the second round. In Pro Stock, Greg Anderson's GXP ran 6.552, 210.50 mph to best teammate (RFC) Jason Line's 6.538, 210.83 on a holeshot. (RFC) Ron Krisher qualified 12th in the Valvoline GXP and lost in the first round. In Pro Stock Motorcycle, (RFC) Hector Arana Jr. earned his first career national event triumph. His Buell made a 6.867, 192.60 mph pass to beat Jerry Savoie's 7.005, 189.36 on a Suzuki. Worsham, Neff, Anderson and Eddie Krawiec are the class leaders going into the six-race Countdown to the championship. |
