NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series
Del Worsham, (RFC) Mike Neff, Greg Anderson and LE Tonglet won Wally trophies in Sunday's O'Reilly Auto Parts Route 66 Nationals, near Chicago.
In Top Fuel, Worsham went 3.978 seconds, 299.40 mph to beat David Grubnic's 4.055, 294.50 mph. Worsham, with five wins, leads Spencer Massey by 131 points.
In Funny Car, (RFC) Neff got Ford's 200th class triumph. His Mustang ran 4.246, 293.22 mph vs. Jeff Arend's 5.168, 186.54 mph in a Toyota Solara. Neff, with four wins, tops Jack Beckman by 172 points. Beckman qualified fourth in the Valvoline/Aaron's Dodge Charger and lost in the semifinals.
In Pro Stock, Anderson clocked 6.670, 207.18 mph in a GXP for a holeshot over (RFC) Erica Enders' 6.659, 206.89 mph in a Chevrolet Cobalt. (RFC) Jason Line leads Anderson by 54 points. (RFC) Ron Krisher qualified fifth in the Valvoline GXP and lost in the second round.
In Pro Stock Motorcycle, Tonglet had a 7.047, 188.46 mph pass on a Suzuki to Chip Ellis' 7.153, 185.49 mph on a Buell. Eddie Krawiec leads (RFC) Karen Stoffer by six points.
