NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series
Sunday's Summit Racing Equipment Nationals in Norwalk, Ohio, wrapped with Del Worsham, (RFC) Mike Neff, Vincent Nobile and Eddie Krawiec holding winning "Wally" trophies.
In Top Fuel, Worsham won for the fourth time this season. He went 3.905 seconds, 298.14 mph to beat Spencer Massey's 3.931, 297.42 mph. Worsham leads Massey by 61 points.
In Funny Car, (RFC) Neff's victory was his third of the year. His Ford Mustang powered to a 4.211, 289.94mph win over Ron Capps' 4.259, 279.09 mph in a Dodge Charger. Jack Beckman qualified 10th in the Valvoline/Aaron's Dodge Charger and lost in round two. Neff tops Beckman by 124 points.
In Pro Stock, Nobile clocked 6.615, 208.26 mph in a Dodge Avenger to best (RFC) Larry Morgan's 6.657, 209.30 mph in a Mustang. (RFC) Ron Krisher qualified 11th in the Valvoline GXP and lost in round one. (RFC) Jason Line is 49 points ahead of (RFC) Mike Edwards. In Saturday's special event $50,000 K&N Horsepower Challenge, Greg Anderson beat Edwards, 6.587, 209.17 mph vs. 6.632, 208.65.mph.
In Pro Stock Motorcycle, Krawiec's Harley had a 7.077, 187.81mph pass to defeat Matt Smith's 11.385, 67.65 mph on a Buell. Krawiec leads (RFC) Karen Stoffer by seven points. Friday qualifying was rained out so there were only two sessions on Saturday.
