NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series
Sunday's SuperNationals at Englishtown, N.J., ended with Spencer Massey, (RFC) Mike Neff, (RFC) Allen Johnson and Matt Smith in the winner's circle.
In Top Fuel, Massey won his second consecutive event. He ran 3.821 seconds, 319.07 mph to beat Del Worsham's 3.815, 322.19 mph on a holeshot. Worsham is 64 points ahead of Massey.
In Funny Car, Neff's Ford Mustang won with a 4.071, 314.09 mph pass as Cruz Pedregon turned on the right light in his Toyota Solara. Jack Beckman qualified ninth in the Valvoline/Aaron's Dodge Charger and lost in the second round. Neff is 98 points clear of Beckman.
In Pro Stock, Johnson's Dodge Avenger had a 6.689, 210.64 mph lap as Vincent Nobile fouled in his Avenger. (RFC) Ron Krisher qualified fifth in the Valvoline GXP and lost in the first round. Former Pro Stock champion (RFC) Jim Yates joined Krisher's team in an advisory role. (RFC) Jason Line leads (RFC) Greg Stanfield by 57 points.
In Pro Stock Motorcycle, Smith's Buell won on a holeshot, 6.900, 191.73 mph over (RFC) Karen Stoffer's 6.889, 194.74 mph on a Suzuki. Stoffer tops Andrew Hines by 43 points.
