NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series (RFC) Antron Brown, (RFC) Robert Hight and (RFC) Mike Edwards were the pro class winners in Sunday's SummitRacing.com Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. In Top Fuel, Brown ran 3.887 seconds, 318.84 mph to beat Brandon Bernstein's 3.947, 311.13 mph. Del Worsham is eight points clear of Brown. In Funny Car, Hight's Ford Mustang clocked 4.149, 307.79 mph to beat (RFC) Johnny Gray's 4.169, 301.81 mph in a Dodge Charger. Hight leads Cruz Pedregon by 48 points. Jack Beckman qualified sixth in the Valvoline/Aaron's Charger and lost in the second round. In Pro Stock, Edwards' Pontiac GXP went 6.695, 205.98 mph to best (RFC) Vincent Nobile's 6.713, 205.69 mph in an Avenger. (RFC) Jason Line has a 67-point advantage over (RFC) Greg Stanfield. (RFC) Ron Krisher qualified fourth in the Valvoline Pontiac GXP and lost in the first round. |
