NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series Doug Kalitta, (RFC) Robert Hight, (RFC) Allen Johnson and Andrew Hines won in Sunday's Mopar Mile-High Nationals, near Denver. In Top Fuel, Kalitta went 3.963 seconds, 308.35 mph to defeat Brandon Bernstein, 4.003, 297.35 mph. Larry Dixon has a 229-pont advantage over Tony Schumacher. In Funny Car, Hight's Ford Mustang ran 4.215, 296.05 mph to beat (RFC) John Force's 4.386,(RFC) 284.99 mph. Force leads Hight by 28 points. Jack Beckman qualified ninth in the Valvoline/MTS Dodge Charger and lost in round two. In Pro Stock, (RFC) Johnson's Dodge Avenger clocked 6.974, 198.26 mph to defeat Jeg Coughlin Jr.'s 7.858, 135.09 mph in a Chevrolet Cobalt. (RFC) Mike Edwards leads Johnson by 344 points. (RFC) Ron Krisher qualified 14th in the Valvoline Chevrolet Cobalt and lost in round two. In Pro Stock Motorcycle, Hines' Harley-Davidson had a 7.342, 178.02 mph lap to take out (RFC) Karen Stoffer's 7.402, 175.94 mph on a Suzuki. (RFC) Hector Arana tops Hines by 60 points.
