Here's an interesting Time Magazine article about the 50 worst cars of all time. I don't agree with a few of his choices (he's definitely a green tree-hugger), but his descriptions are hilarious. Make sure to click on each to read about them. Enjoy.... |

Hey Corey, I also found his list of the worst cars confusing too. Having owned a few of them I have to disagree that they were the worst cars as there were certainly some others I could put on that list. While at Ft. Sam Houston, Texas during my Army National Guard basic training days, I was sending most of my monthly pay home to my Dad to bank for me. Before I was to come home my father, who was a warehouse supervisor at Lever Brothers in Dundalk, told me that one of his employees who was a part owner of a used car lot had a Corvette for me! He said that it was a sports car with bucket seats and a four speed stick shift and a big engine. The car turned out to be a 1964 Corvair Monza! I loved that car but the one major problem it had was that it leaked oil from the rear main seal and was a very expensive repair for a college student. I eventually traded it back to the dealer for a 1963 Chevy II convertible. I also had a 1971 Pinto which was my wife's car. That little car served us well for a number of years and was passed on to my brothers who also used it for many years. We liked it so much we bought a 1976 Pinto Wagon. I had a Chevy Chevette as a company car while working for the National brewing company in the early 1970's. Again, no problems with that either. Now the Pontiac Aztec? I never had one of these but whoever did the styling on that job should be working for the Rubbermaid Company designing garbage cans! Midnight Blue MCOM Historian |

Not at all surprising, considering it's in Time. |
