what was ford thinking? well, at least accelerators shouldn't be a problem, since there will be no power, and with no power to go fast, who cares about brakes

Yes, we all need to encourage American companies by purchasing American made as much as possible. The 2011 Mustang leaves me concerned. The manual transmission will be a Getrag unit built in China! Getrag is a German company, and I have never heard of any negative feedback about them, but I don't wish to support a communist country that has severe human rights issues. Mentioning recalls leads me to visions of Mustangs with their six speed transmissions trailing behind them after doing some smokin' hole shots. Everybody needs to email Ford to let them know that we'd like to see a non Chinese built transmission.

Don't laugh. If Ford had not taken care of their financial future and had to ask the government for loans like GM and Chrysler, there might not be a 2011 Mustang!

I can just see Obama's Auto Csar telling the folks at Ford that fast, sporty cars are no longer in our "green future" and the Mustang must be put out to pasture. Now you can make a Hybrid 4 cylinder Mustang that gets 40 mpg and only reaches 60 mph if you insist on keeping the Mustang name alive for the next few years until the brand turns 50 but after that you must finally put the old horse out to pasture! :blahblah:
