NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series
Rain and an accident delayed the finals of Sunday's Arizona Nationals, near Phoenix, to Monday.
In Funny Car, Jack Beckman beat (RFC) John Force in the finals. Beckman qualified seventh in the Valvoline/MTS Dodge Charger.
In Top Fuel, Cory McClenathan beat Doug Kalitta.
Pro Stock finished only one round and that event will be completed during qualifying at the Gatornationals. (RFC) Ron Krisher qualified second in the Valvoline Chevrolet Cobalt and advanced.
A woman was killed after being hit by debris from (RFC) Antron Brown's dragster. The left-rear wheel of Brown's car came off during his first-round run. Brown hit the wall but was not injured.
