NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series The Countdown opened with Sunday's Carolina Nationals and Cory McClenathan, (RFC) Robert Hight, (RFC) Mike Edwards and (RFC) Hector Arana made it to the winner's circle. In Top Fuel, Cory Mac ran 3.857 seconds, 312.64 mph to Shawn Langdon's 3.980, 280.49 mph. Cory Mac is 10 points ahead of Tony Schumacher and (RFC) Antron Brown. In Funny Car, (RFC) Hight's Ford Mustang clocked 4.097, 307.02 mph to Matt Hagan's 4.103, 308.07 mph in a Dodge Charger. Tony Pedregon is one point ahead of (RFC) Ashley Force Hood. Jack Beckman qualified eighth in the Valvoline/MTS Dodge Charger and lost in the second round. In Pro Stock, (RFC) Edwards' Pontiac GXP went 6.618, 209.39 mph vs. (RFC) Greg Stanfield's 6.650, 207.75 mph in a GXP. Edwards tops (RFC) Jeg Coughlin Jr. by 56 points. (RFC) Ron Krisher didn't qualify in the Valvoline Chevrolet Cobalt. In Pro Stock Motorcycle, (RFC) Arana won on a Buell with a 7.004, 189.31 mph pass as (RFC) Karen Stoffer red-lighted on her Suzuki. Arana is nine points ahead of Eddie Krawiec. Spencer Massey in Top Fuel and Mike Neff in his Mustang Funny Car won the four-wide exhibition races. In fact, three of the four funny cars were Mustangs: John Force, Mike Neff, and (RFC) Tim Wilkerson. It cost each team between $4,000 and $5,000 per vehicle just to run the exhibition race. yea plus the 10 grade he had to shell out for his fine from 2 weeks ago,. i guess his price of diecast cars will be going up. lol. jk. he did a great job racing this past weekend. 6 to go. i hope JFR wins all of them. drives their Stangs up Tony's butt.
